Customer Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Ist'ile as a customer. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What Ist'ile is

Ist'ile is a booking platform. We connect you with independent beauty and grooming professionals ("shops") across Mauritius. The services you book are provided by the shop, not by Ist'ile. Each booking creates an agreement between you and the shop.

Ist'ile helps customers discover shops and request appointments. The final service delivery, punctuality, in-shop experience, service quality and final pricing accuracy remain the responsibility of the listed shop.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.
• Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently or abusively.

3. Bookings

• A booking request is pending until the shop confirms it. You will be notified when it is confirmed or declined.
• Confirmed bookings reserve the shop's time. If you cannot attend, cancel as early as possible — at the latest 2 hours before the appointment, via the app.
• Repeated no-shows may lead to account restrictions.
• Prices shown are set by each shop in Mauritian rupees. Payment is made directly at the shop unless the shop states otherwise. Ist'ile does not process payments in this version.

4. Reviews

You may review a shop only after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest, respectful and free of unlawful content. We may remove reviews that violate these rules.

5. Chat

Chat is provided for booking-related communication. Harassment, spam and unlawful content are prohibited.

6. Our responsibilities and limits

We operate the platform with reasonable skill and care. However, we are not a party to the service agreement between you and a shop, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety or outcome of services provided by shops. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Mauritian law.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Privacy & Security). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

8. Changes

We will ask you to accept material changes to these terms before continuing to use the platform.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius; the courts of Mauritius have jurisdiction.
